How does the Shopify app detector work?
We load the store's homepage and look for the public signatures apps leave in the page source.
Most Shopify apps inject a script or a widget on the storefront: a CDN domain (like static.klaviyo.com for Klaviyo or cdn.judge.me for Judge.me), a global JavaScript variable, or a specific CSS class. Our detector matches these signatures against a continuously updated catalog of 40+ popular apps.
Only apps that run on the storefront can be detected. Purely back-office apps (logistics, accounting, ERP) leave no public footprint and therefore won't show up in the report.
